Canadian World Champion takes time off slopes in Åre
A famous face from the ski slopes was spotted taking a well-earned break in Åre during the Freestyle FIS World Cup on Saturday afternoon. The Freestyle Mogul World Champion, Kristi Richards, told DJO how her determination has kept her going over the last few months…
DJO Nordic was thrilled when Kristi Richards joined them in Åre, Sweden for an informal autograph session in the lobby of the Holiday Club in one Europe’s most exciting ski resorts. Kristi Richards is a ‘Face of DJO’ and following on from a series of unfortunate injuries, has been a keen supporter following her positive DonJoy brace experience.
Kristi spent a couple of hours chatting with physiotherapists, medics and other ski enthusiasts: “It was great to connect with so many people in the medical industry in Sweden and to have the chance to discuss sport, injury, and rehab. I especially enjoyed being able to share my experiences with so many winter sports enthusiasts and give them hope that they can find the right DonJoy products to help them enjoy their sport and have an active lifestyle again.”
Kristi is passionate about her sport: "This season has been tough for me with many small injuries, sickness and disappointments. However, it is my passion, my determination and perseverance which continues to drive me to excel in my sport and this is what has kept me going every day. I really believe I will realize my potential and I will not stop short of achieving my goals.”
