Mountain Trial Biking takes off with help from DJO
International recognition for a UK trial bike team as they tackle the world stage with their mountain bike skills and displays.
DJO is very excited to be supporting a mountain bike display team that is rapidly gaining a world-class reputation. Splitting their time between International championships and display events, Trials Display have had an action-packed couple of years competing in top level events in New Zealand, Singapore, Japan as well as across Europe.
On the international circuit, top riders, Ben Slinger and Danny Butler have consistently battled it out for the number one slot with Ben winning the World Championships three times and Danny winning the British and European Championships at various times over the last five years. In addition the team have featured in many events, shows and television programmes including the Tour of Britain, Sky Sports, Blue Peter, and the BBC News.
Obviously safety is of paramount importance and both riders wear protection to help minimize injury should there be an accident.
“I first tried DonJoy braces at the Dirt Bike Show and instantly felt much more secure in them,” explained Ben. “You really notice the extra support when you come off a bike especially when you have to jump off! They have really given us all a lot more confidence.”
The team’s latest adventure was as contestants in the current series of Britain’s Got Talent where they made it to the Quarter Finals. Now the boys are busy preparing for the first round of the World Cup in Barcelona at the end of April. DJO wish them the best of luck and look forward to following their progress.
