2010 has been a very good year for cyclists and MX riders supported by DJO. Just as he did in 2009, Antonio Cairoli won the World Motocross championship. And in the first year of their partnership with Compex, Team HTC Columbia finished the season as the number one professional cycling team in the world.

The partnership with Compex allowed top international riders like Mark Cavendish, Tony Martin, Michael Rogers, Maxim Monfort and Mark Renshaw to optimize their performance.

Helge Riepenhof, head of HTC Columbia’s medical staff discovered the benefits of using Compex from the start of the season. “Every team rider has his personal Compex Mi Sport,” says Riepenhof. “They use the device for a number of different reasons, but the main benefit for us is the way Compex helps speed up and improve recovery which is especially important in stage races where riders have to perform on a high level for three weeks at a time. For example, during the Tour de France our riders used the Active Recovery programme as soon as they got on the bus for the hotel. Even before the physiotherapist started to work on the riders, they had already had a 20 minute session with the Compex Mi Sport. We are really happy with the partnership with Compex. It really makes a difference.”

 Tour de France and the red points jersey in the Vuelta; Tony Martin won the Eneco Tour; Matt Goss took the Philadelphia International Championship in the US and Michael Rogers won the Tour of California. In 2011, Compex and the number one pro cycling team in the world will continue their partnership.
